“What do people think about our government.. about its performance? Who is posting against us? How can we stop them? How is the situation of our party in the villages? Find out immediately..” It is known that the intelligence system has jumped into the field whether or not CM Revanth Reddy and other government leaders have ordered so.
“We don’t know whether they will be intimidated.. or how they will be brought to the path. Our staff should be in WhatsApp groups from villages to mandal and district levels. We should provide information about what is happening at the field level from time to time. There will be a suitable reward for your hard work,” it is known that clear orders have been received from higher authorities, from the lower level home guards and constables.
It is known that constables and home guards are already engaged in hunting WhatsApp groups in the villages within the limits of the stations. If someone from the villages comes to the police station “How many WhatsApp groups can there be in your village? How many party groups, village development groups, caste-wise, religion-wise, youth groups, groups with surnames, dawat groups are there? Who are their admins? Tell us a little more details.. Add us to them too”, the police are reportedly pleading.
Constables, intelligence personnel and task force personnel within the respective stations have taken on the responsibility of knowing what is happening in village, town and state level groups. It is learnt that indirect instructions have been given to take the cooperation of Congress leaders at the mandal and village level to join WhatsApp groups quickly.
While there are 12,848 villages in Telangana, including the residential villages, there are over 13,000 of them. Of these, there are at least 20 WhatsApp groups in each village, including at least 1 village group, 8 caste-wise groups, 4 party groups, 2 religion-wise groups, 5-10 surname-wise groups, 2-5 dawat groups, and 2-5 entertainment groups.
The police department estimates that if we add up the groups in cities, mandals, and wards in district centers, unemployed groups, education information groups, journalist groups, daily newspaper groups, and finally drunk and drive groups, there will be more than 5.50 lakh. It is learned that government officials have directed that arrangements should be made to ensure that information in at least 3 lakh groups reaches the head office, and if necessary, a special network should be set up for this.
