Hyderabad: Telangana government introduced the eligibility criteria for the Rs 500 LPG cylinder under the Mahalakshmi scheme, which becomes active for all eligible users in the state starting today. This marks the implementation of the government’s third scheme, following two previously introduced by the Congress party.
Here are the eligibility criteria for availing the Rs 500 LPG gas cylinder under the Mahalakshmi scheme: Applicants must register for the Rs 500 LPG cylinder through the Praja Palana Application. Beneficiaries must hold white ration cards in Telangana to qualify for the Rs 500 LPG gas cylinders under the Mahalakshmi scheme. The government mandates that consumers can obtain LPG cylinders based on their family’s average consumption over the past three years.
Here’s how to avail the Rs 500 LPG gas cylinder: Beneficiaries need to pay the full amount of the current LPG cylinder price to oil marketing companies. Upon receiving the LPG cylinder, users will receive the subsidy directly into their bank accounts. The Telangana government will advance the necessary funds to oil marketing companies on a monthly basis.
