Hyderabad: Former Telangana Chief Minister and BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has received a legal notice from the Federation of Farmers Associations in Telangana, demanding his removal as the Leader of the Opposition due to his absence from Assembly sessions.
The association, in its notice, stated that KCR has failed to fulfill his responsibilities as the Opposition leader and, as a result, has lost the eligibility to continue as an MLA. The association’s general secretary, Vijay Pal, called for KCR’s disqualification, emphasizing that he should either participate in Assembly proceedings and address public issues or step down from his position.
The association’s legal representative, Padhuri Srinivas Reddy, has sent the legal notice to KCR via email and speed post, urging the issuance of summons seeking an explanation for his absence from the Assembly.
