Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Vows To Reclaim Encroached Lakes

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has affirmed his commitment to reclaiming lakes from those who have encroached upon them. He stated that despite facing immense pressure on the government, they will not back down and will continue to demolish illegal constructions. The Chief Minister warned that strict action will be taken against those who have occupied lakes. Revanth Reddy made these remarks on Sunday while participating in the Anantha Shesha Installation Festival organized by the Hare Krishna Foundation. 

Speaking on the occasion, the CM noted that nature will seek revenge if destruction continues unchecked, and he drew inspiration from Lord Krishna’s words that to defeat injustice, a battle is inevitable. He also emphasized that his efforts to protect the lakes are in line with the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy presented awards to the winners of the ‘NMDC Hyderabad’ marathon at the Gachibowli Stadium. Speaking to the media afterward, he announced that the Gachibowli Sports Village will be exclusively utilized for sports activities. He also outlined plans to ensure that Telangana athletes win the most medals in the 2028 Olympics. Additionally, he revealed that the Young India Sports University will be inaugurated from the next academic year. The CM mentioned that he has requested the central government to allow Telangana to host the Khelo India games. He also expressed his hope that if India wins the bid to host the 2036 Olympics, Hyderabad should be given the opportunity to host the games.
