TDP leaders former minister Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad and Gurazala MLA Yerapatineni Srinivasa Rao have demanded the AP state government to immediately take over the lands allotted to Saraswati Power Company. They deplored that hundreds of acres were taken from the farmers and people in the name of industry in Dachepalli mandal of Palnadu district, but no industry has been established even after 15 years.
Manikya Vara Prasad has asked the government to think about forming a society and leasing the lands to the farmers. Otherwise, he said that it may be allotted to new entrepreneurs, so that industries will come and employment will increase.
Similarly, he also demanded that the state should take over the lands of other companies which are useless in the state. He also expressed concern over the safety and security of Mrs Vijayamma and Sharmila in the present circumstances and asked the state government to increase security to them.
Gurjala MLA Yarapathineni Srinivasa Rao urged the government to order an ACB and CID inquiry into the Saraswati Power irregularities. He lamented that Jagan’s thirst for money is the ultimate power of Saraswati. He alleged that Jagan sacrificed the lives of the poor and became the head of over Rs 10,000 crore worth company.
He said that Jagan had looted more than Rs 1 lakh crore using the authority of his father as Chief Minister. He recalled that since 2008, he has been personally fighting against the irregularities of Saraswati Power Industries. He recalled that the allocation of Saraswati Power Mines was canceled on October 9, 2014 as a result of the struggles.
In 2019, it was alleged that they were restored in the corridors and permanent water allocations were made. He said that Jagan has severely harassed him between 2019-24 and false cases were filed against him for questioning the irregularities.
Gurazala MLA demanded that criminal cases should be filed against those who attacked the farmers earlier. He questioned why mines are still allotted to companies that have not even laid a brick for 15 years. He made it clear that allotment of limestone mines to Saraswati Power should be reviewed and canceled.
Yarapatine demanded that action should be taken against Jagan, who had encroached on government lands, and that Jagan, who had given false documents for permission, should be sent to jail.
