Nara Lokesh, the National General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), has been accorded ‘Z’ category security by the Union Home Ministry, with CRPF (VIP Wing) personnel responsible for his protection. The decision was prompted by security lapses observed during Lokesh’s youth marches, coupled with alerts from Maoists and intelligence agencies. This move comes following repeated pleas from Lokesh himself, who had consistently requested enhanced security measures. His security team had corresponded with various authorities, including the Central and State Governments, the Governor, and the Home Ministry, emphasizing the need for heightened security arrangements.
