Sweety on a weight loss mission for Chiranjeevi

Anushka Shetty fondly called as Sweety is cherry-picking roles after Baahubali. She appeared only in a handful of films in the last five years. Her recent outing Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty emerged as a promising box office hit.

According to the latest reports, Anushka is the forerunner to play the leading lady in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 157th film to be helmed by Bimbisara fame director Mallidi Vasistha. The makers of this ambitious socio-fantasy thriller have reportedly approached Anushka with a meaty role. A source revealed that she liked the narration and agreed to sign the dotted line very soon.

Anushka decided to lose oodles of weight to portray a glamorous role in this big-ticket film. She will get into a desired shape before starting the shoot.Previously, she sizzled in an item song with Chiranjeevi in Stalin. Later, she appeared in a cameo in SyeRaa Narasimha Reddy. She was also supposed to do a minor role in Acharya but things didn’t work at that time.

Anushka will now be sharing screen space with Chiranjeevi for a full-length character in Mega 157. The regular shooting is expected to commence in October or November.

UV Creations banner is bankrolling the film on a grand scale. Anushka acted in films like Bhaagamathie and Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty under the same production house. So, she has no qualms about signing Mega157 with them.
