Another survey will be conducted on the encroached lands of YSRCP key leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy’s family members. These lands are located along the Chittoor- Kurnool National Highway in Chintakommadinne mandal of YSR district. Sajjala’s family members Sajjala Sandeep Reddy have 71.49 acres, Sajjala Janardhan Reddy 16.85 acres, Y. Satya Sandeep Reddy 21.46 acres, and Sajjala Vijayakumari and others have a total land area of 146.75 acres.
The previous revenue survey revealed that up to 55 acres of government and forest lands were encroached in this connection. The forest department is arguing that their department does not have any lands in this. However, the revenue department records showing that there are. At the same time, Sajjala’s family members have approached the High Court regarding the land survey.
The state government has also submitted the survey report to the court. It explained that the Sajjala family has encroached government and forest lands. It stated that a comprehensive survey will be conducted again to identify the boundaries of the encroached lands and to confirm the lands of the Revenue/Forest Department.
The court granted permission for this and ordered that the status quo be maintained without causing damage to the crop fields. The government, which agreed to this, has recently appointed a survey team with three officers. A team comprising Kadapa RDO, YSR District DFO, and Survey and Land Records AD will conduct the survey from Thursday. As per the court’s orders, the officials have also issued notices to the people who have encroached on the lands.
Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has ordered an inquiry into the allegations that the Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy family has encroached on forest and DKT lands in YSR district. The Kadapa Collector has been ordered to submit a report on the number of forest lands in the Sajjala family estate.
Sajjala Estate has been set up on about 200 acres near Sugalibidi village in Seekedinne mandal of YSR district. Sandeep Reddy, son of Sajjala Diwakar Reddy, brother of Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, who was said to be `supreme authority’ during YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s regime and his family members have purchased hundreds of acres of patta lands and DKT lands in benami names.
