Nara Rohith, one of the best actors in Tollywood, has established himself with taking up projects that feature different and interesting storylines, distinguishing him from the run-of-the-mill commercial offerings. His latest release, Sundarakanda, had been projected as a romantic entertainer with much hype. Having generated sufficient pre-release hype and expectation, it was expected that the movie would come up with a new and interesting story to tell the audience.
Observing the change in viewing patterns and growing popularity of OTT platforms, the producers felt inclined to release the movie in the digital format in an attempt to receive a positive response from OTT subscribers. Sundarakanda has been released for viewing on Jio Hotstar, which is one of India’s top OTT players, as of September 23.
With the movie now online, there’s a new wave of interest about how it will be seen by viewers on the OTT platform. The movie has a good cast with Sridevi Vijay Kumar and Vriti Vaghani playing the female protagonists. Directed by Venkatesh Nimmalapudi, Sundarakanda also has the musical score done by Leon James, whose contribution is likely to give the film an added emotional depth.
