Vijayawada: On Friday, BJP leader Sujana Chowdary announced his intention to contest from the Vijayawada MP seat, addressing the media. He stated that if directed by the BJP high command to participate in direct elections, he would willingly contest from Vijayawada. Emphasizing confidence in the BJP’s success if it decides to contest from Vijayawada, Sujana Chowdary mentioned that the high command would soon make decisions regarding alliances.
Sujana Chowdary expressed the high command’s support for Amaravati as the capital of Andhra Pradesh. While highlighting that the BJP has yet to finalize its decisions for the AP elections, he assured that the upcoming elections in AP would be conducted impartially. Sujana Chowdary acknowledged the Election Commission’s role in addressing BJP’s complaints and appreciated the EC’s initiative in keeping volunteers away from election duties.
