Nani is signing off 2023 on a memorable note. After a not-so-impressive two years due to a lack of clean hits, the Natural Star made a strong comeback this year with crowd-pleasing outings in the form of Dasara and Hi Nanna. Both films performed on par with trade expectations and emerged as profitable ventures for buyers.
Keeping aside the box office status, both films earned many plaudits for Nani because he delivered commendable performances in contrasting characters. In Dasara, a raw and rustic entertainer, Nani played a solid mass role for the first time in his career. He packed a punch with his intense and massy mannerisms. The film went on to become the biggest grosser in Nani’s career.
With Hi Nanna, Nani once again demonstrated why he is one the most loved actors in the present generation with his classy and no-nonsense performance. His emotional act tugged at the heartstrings of moviegoers. Hi Nanna grossed over 75 Crores.
Acknowledging the most successful year in his career, Nani took to his social media account and expressed his gratitude towards his fans. He posted a photo which is a juxtaposition of both characters in these two films and wrote ‘It started with a pavva. It ended with a tequila.
