‘SSMB29’ producer puts Mahesh fans in confusion

Superstar Mahesh Babu is going to join forces with India’s biggest filmmaker SS Rajamouli for a pan-world action adventure that will be made on a mammoth budget of 1000 Crores. Tentatively titled SSMB29, this project has already become the cynosure of moviegoers across the globe because of Rajamouli’s soaring popularity after the worldwide success of his previous films Baahubali and RRR.

The script work of SSMB29 was completed recently and the regular shooting is most likely to commence very soon. Mahesh Babu also started preparing for this much-anticipated film and he is currently busy transforming himself into a new avatar. Meanwhile, Rajamouli is occupied with the pre-production activities. Surprisingly, a video of SSMB29 producer S. Gopal Reddy’s interview with a popular news agency started to go viral on social media platforms. As per this interview, the shooting of SSMB29 will commence in May next year. The producer himself stated this during the interview. So, this has created a lot of confusion among Mahesh Babu’s fans as they are now wondering why so much of a delay in the start of the project. They are also worried that the film might hit the screens only in 2028 or 2029.

On the other side, some say that the interview was recorded last year and it was uploaded recently due to which his statements are misinterpreted. They claim that the shooting will commence this Summer.

In the interview, S. Gopal Reddy revealed that he waited for 12 years to materialize a project with Rajamouli. He also said that he planned a film with Mahesh Babu long back but wasn’t able to execute it due to various reasons.

We have to wait for official updates from the makers so that more clarity on various aspects relating to SSMB29 will emerge.
