In a dramatic development, soon after a BJP team led by Telangana BJP state president N. Ramchandra Rao visited former DSP Nalini and expressed solidarity with her, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District Collector Hanumantha Rao went to her house and met her.
As per the instructions of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the Collector inquired about her health details and assured her that the state government was ready to help her. In this context, the Collector explained to Nalini the assurance given by CM Revanth Reddy that all the issues related to her service would be resolved soon.
At the same time, when it came to light that she was currently ill, the Collector assured her that the state government would bear the entire cost of her treatment. Although Nalini was in the police department during the Telangana movement, she resigned from her job in support of the movement with the slogan of Jai Telangana.
After her resignation, the then government suspended her. However, neither the previous BRS government nor the current Congress government has released the retirement benefits due to her so far. She personally met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy last year to explain her problems, but there has been no movement in the government, except for assurances.
In this context, former DSP Nalini created a stir three days ago by posting a public letter on her Facebook account saying, “This is my deathbed confession.” In the letter, she stated that her health condition was alarming and that her life would end soon.
Stating that her application to the Chief Minister had been rejected, she suggested that her name should not be used for political gain after her death. Nalini said that she would try to achieve salvation in her next birth.
“My life as an officer, activist, politician, Ayurvedic health worker and spiritual leader is coming to an end. My health has been serious for the past month. I am currently in a critical position. I have not slept for 3 days. I am spending the whole night chanting the Maha Mrityunjaya mantra,” she said.
With this, the BJP team met her on Monday and expressed its support. BJP state president Ramachandra Rao demanded that the state government release her retirement benefits at least now and bring her out of her mental anguish.
