If the ongoing reports of YS Sharmila’s YSRTP are anything to go by, the sister of AP CM YS Jagan, YS Sharmila is all set to officially join hands with the AICC. None other than the numero uno of Congress Sonia Gandhi and the scion Rahul would meet up with Sharmila in this regard.
It is a known fact that all is not well between the sibling’s YS Jagan and Sharmila as the latter went to the state of Telangana along with her mother YS Vijayamma and forayed into active politics by floating YSRTP. All these days, she fought alone but all of a sudden, Sharmila changed her strategy and decided to take the support of the Congress. Earlier it was rumored that YSRTP would go together with TPCC for Telangana polls but the latest reports indicate Sharmila is more than happy to merge her YSRTP and Congress to be a full-fledged congress leader. In this regard, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi would come all the way to Idupulapaya and make this merger officially in front of the press, says a source close to Sharmila. Soon Sharmila and Vijayamma would get a call from Sonia Gandhi and would discuss the future course of action.
YSRTP leaders say that the late CM YSR loved Congress and it was his last wish before death to see Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister of India so Sharmila would be working towards that wish of her father. Whatever is said and done, the politics of the two Telugu states have become most interesting in the recent couple of decades.
