Kollywood actor Silambarasan, who takes on a key role as Thug in Kamal Haasan’s ‘Thug Life’, has commenced dubbing for his role.
Helmed by Maverick director Mani Ratnam, ‘Thug Life’, touted to be an action crime drama, features legendary actor Kamal Haasan in the lead role. With a star-studded cast, the film also has Trisha Krishnan, Silambarasan TR, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Gautham Karthik, Joju George, Nassar, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhirami, and many others in pivotal roles.
The film is currently midway through production, with half of the shooting completed. The next schedule of filming is expected to start in August, and in the meantime, the filmmakers shared the latest update on the project’s progress, revealing Simbu has started dubbing for his portion.
Silambarasan recently posted a photo from the studio on his Instagram story. In the photo, he is seen at his dubbing session with headphones on, accompanied by the caption, “#THUGLIFE #DUBBING.”
Speaking more about ‘Thug Life’, the film is written and directed by Mani Ratnam with jointly backing by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, and Udhayanidhi Stalin under the banners of Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies, and Red Giant Movies.
Musical maestro AR Rahman is at the helm of music direction for this gangster film, with the stunning visual work of Ravi K. Chandran and Sreekar Prasad’s editing. The makers are reportedly planning on releasing the film next year. Stay tuned for further updates!
