Congress party state president YS Sharmila lamented that the ruling coalition parties TDP and Jana Sena as well as the opposition YSRCP are acting as pawns to the BJP, which has done injustice to the state by not implementing the division promises.
Addressing party workers and leaders at the district Congress party office in Kakinada on strengthening the party, she deplored Chandrababu Naidu giving full support to the BJP through the alliance and leaving all the promises to the state in the air. Similarly, earlier, she said that Jaganmohan Reddy too bowed his neck and said that he would bring special status to the state and acted as a pawn to the BJP for selfish reasons and did injustice to the state.
Sharmila said that the late CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy had never acted in a manner that suited the BJP and that Jagan had tarnished the image of YS. She recalled that both Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan have been providing crucial support for the stability of the BJP government at the center, though they are not implementing AP Reorganization Act promises and noti giving special status to AP.
She alleged that the BJP also did not construct the Polavaram project and completed Amaravati. She recalled that Prime Minister Modi has not said so far that he is giving funds for Amaravati, but not loans and that he will not privatize the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Sharmila also expressed concern that the Super Six schemes are not being fully implemented and that only 60 lakh people have been given the Thalliki Vandanam scheme out of 87 lakh eligible people in the state.
She said that unemployment allowance has not been given and the scheme to give Rs 18,000 in the name of Mahila Shakti has not been started yet. Sharmila said that the budget for the free bus guarantee is less but it has not been implemented. She recalled that although experts say that the Polavaram project will be fully utilized only if it is built to a height of 45 meters, the Center has said that it will provide funds only if it is built to 41 meters. It is noteworthy that not a single MP has spoken on this issue in Parliament, she added.
