Friday, June 28, 2024

Former Visakhapatnam YSRCP MP MVV Satyanarayana faced a setback in the AP High Court. It refused to give interim orders giving protection from arrest in the cases registered against him in Arilova police station in the port city on the allegations of encroachment of lands belonging to Hayagriva sanstha.

The court said that the case is still at the FIR stage and no interim order can be given at this stage, providing protection from arrest. The High Court has suggested filing an anticipatory bail petition if necessary. It directed the respondents police and complainants to file a counter on this petition. The court adjourned the hearing for two weeks.

Ch Jagadeeswarudu of Hayagreeva Infratech filed a complaint against former MP Satyanarayana with Arilova police. He alleged that they took signatures on blank documents in the name of MoU to buy their valuable lands in Yendada village of Visakha district. As a result, the police registered a case against Satyanarayana along with Auditor Gannamani Venkateswara Rao (GV) and Gade Brahmaji, but former MP MVV approached the High Court to strike out the case.

In his complaint made on June 22, Hayagriva Firms and Developers ‘Partner’  Jagadeeswarudu alias Jagadish (64) alleged that he and his wife were threatened and the land belonging to him was seized by making them sign on blank documents. He claimed that their signatures were also forged.

A case was registered on the same day under sections 120B, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 383, 506 and 34 of the IPC. According to the victim’s account, Jagadish had applied to the state government in 2006 to allot land to him at a nominal price so that he could build an orphanage for the elderly and sell villas to them at a low price.

The then state government allotted 12.51 acres of land to him in Yendada survey number 93/3 in 2008. He paid the price fixed by the government for that land. He got it registered in 2010 under the name of Hayagriva Firms and Developers, with his wife Radharani as the proprietor.

GV  was introduced to Jagadish as an editor. Former MP MVV Satyanarayana and Brahmaji were introduced in the name of developers. They learned that the land given to Jagadish will not be constructed till 2020. Then there was a YCP government in the state. MVV, who is the Visakha MP of that party, and others signed an agreement with Jagadish in 2020 for the development of that land.

During this time, the victim alleged that MVV, GV and Brahmaji forged the signatures of him along with his wife Radharani and took signatures on some blank documents. They alleged that 12.51 acres of land obtained from the government was seized based on them. It is stated in the complaint that they were threatened to kill those who were questioned about this.
