SC’s new deadline to the CBI on Viveka’s case

Tuesday, November 19, 2024

The Supreme Court of India has finally given a deadline to the CBI regarding the murder case of Viveka. The Apex Court also made crucial changes to the main officer in this case.

After hearing the arguments from the CBI side, the Jury opined that the delay cost a lot and immediately declared a verdict to finish the case in the upcoming six months. It has removed the Chief Investigation Officer Ram Singh who dealt with the case quite aggressively all these days and produced a lot of progress and gave charge to the IPS Officer Keshav Ram Chaurasia to form a Special Investigation Team and lead it in the entire investigation. If in case the SIT fails to enter the trials of this case after six months, then the accused can apply for bail which they would be granted.

Even though this is a good development in this case since the Supreme Court of India fast-paced the case, the removal of Investigation Officer Ram Singh came out as a shocker. Many cases were filed by the family members of the accused in Kadapa Police Station accusing him of wrong handling the investigation which proves how deeply he probed and irked the culprits.
