Sankranthi 2024 : Know which films are likely to contend

Sankranthi season is one of the most preferred release windows in Tollywood because the festive atmosphere results in solid footfalls for all films irrespective of the verdict. Like every year, Sankranthi 2024 is going to be jam-packed with numerous big-ticket films lined up to vie at the box office. Know which films are likely to entertain moviegoers during the four-day festival.

Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram is the first film to lock the Sankranthi berth. Though the shooting formalities got delayed several times, the makers are confident that they will wrap up everything by December and get it ready for January 13th release.

Prasanth Varma’s Hanu-Man is fixed for release on January 12th. The entire shooting part was completed long back. But, the team is taking ample time to deliver a visual extravaganza with extensive VFX shots. So, they are working efficiently to get the work done on time. It will release on January 12th.

Mass Maharaja’s upcoming thriller ‘Eagle’ under the direction of Karthik Ghattamaneni is another film that is going to hit the screens during the festive season. The filming will be done and dusted by August and the first copy will be ready by December.

Vijay Devarakonda’s new film, tentatively titled Family Man, which reunited with Geetha Govindham director Parasuram is also on track for release in January second week. The Dil Raju production will have no dearth of theatres despite the heavy competition. So, the team is planning to wind up the shooting formalities by December and release it during Sankranthi.

Besides these films, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s new project which is going to be launched in August is also aiming for release during the festival season. But, there is no official confirmation about this development.
