Tollywood’s beautiful and talented actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s upcoming mythological starrer Shaakuntalam is postponed again. Ace filmmaker Gunasekhar’s directorial which is scheduled to hit the theaters on February 17 has once again got delayed.
Announcing the same on their official Twitter handle, the known production house and the makers of the film, Gunaa Teamworks shared a statement that reads as- ‘WE REGRET TO INFORM OUR BELOVED AUDIENCE THAT WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO RELEASE SHAAKUNTALAM THIS 17TH OF FEBRUARY, WE WOULD BE ANNOUNCING THE RELEASE DATE SOON. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT AND LOVE.’
With this announcement, fans and moviegoers are a little disappointed as they are eagerly waiting to see their favorite actress on the big screen in a never seen avatar in the role of princess Shaakuntala.
For the unversed, Shaakuntalam is an upcoming historical film directed by Gunasekhar. Presented by Neelima Guna under the banner Gunaa Teamworks in association with Sri Venkateswara Creations, Shaakuntalam stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Dev Mohan, Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Aditi Balan, Gautami, Ananya Nagalla and others in key roles.
Recently, the makers have released two singles from the film along with the trailer. The trailer received an immense response from the audience as it is a visual feast. Samantha portrayed the role of the first abandoned child in human history princess Shakuntala who is the daughter of Menaka and Vishwamitra.
