Baba Siddique, a prominent former Congress leader and star politician from Mumbai, was tragically shot dead last night in the city.
A close childhood friend of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, Siddique was well-known for hosting extravagant Iftaar parties during Ramadan, which were attended by many Bollywood celebrities.
Upon hearing the shocking news, Salman Khan immediately halted the filming of Bigg Boss 18 and rushed to the hospital.
Reports indicate that Salman was overwhelmed with grief when he saw Baba Siddique’s mortal remains, collapsing to the floor in tears, and was inconsolable.
Siddique is also remembered for orchestrating the famous reconciliation between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan at one of his Iftaar parties. The politician was shot by three assailants, who killed him on the spot.
