YSRCP’s general secretary and advisor to the state government, Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy, has foreseen a significant and humiliating defeat for the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the upcoming 2024 elections, surpassing their performance in 2019. He attributed TDP leader Naidu’s public frustration to the party’s decline, noting his inability to accept the public’s support for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Addressing the media at the party office, Sajjala urged Naidu to focus on addressing substantial issues rather than resorting to entertaining tactics like dance performances in rallies. He criticized Naidu for causing panic among senior citizens by falsely claiming a lack of government funds for pension distribution, which allegedly resulted in the deaths of 31 people. Sajjala highlighted the government’s success in completing 93 percent of pension distribution within two days, despite Naidu’s attempts to obstruct it.
Sajjala also accused Naidu of obstructing pension distribution by stopping volunteers from delivering pensions door-to-door, leading to public backlash against TDP leaders. He criticized Naidu’s attempt to shift blame onto the government by writing to the election commission, citing Naidu’s lack of clarity in his actions.
