Sai Pallavi, the actress who’s been winning hearts with her powerhouse performances, recently opened up about some tough times on set, leaving her fans both surprised and moved. After impressing everyone with her role in Amar, where she starred opposite Sivakarthikeyan in a box-office hit biopic, Sai Pallavi shared some emotional behind-the-scenes moments from the making of Shyam Singha Roy.
In an eye-opening interview, she revealed that the late-night shoots for Shyam Singha Roy took a toll on her. “The moment I finished a shoot for the day, I felt immense relief. Most of my scenes were shot at night, and I’m not a fan of night shoots. Plus, I couldn’t sleep during the day, which left me mentally and physically drained. It wasn’t just one or two days, it was almost 30 days like that!” she admitted, revealing just how grueling it was for her to power through.
To make matters more intense, Sai Pallavi was juggling shoots for other movies as well. “On top of Shyam Singha Roy, I had to go straight to another film set in the morning. One night, my sister Pooja Kannan came to visit me, and while talking to her, “I couldn’t hold back the tears” and I told her, “I just needed one day of rest,” sharing an emotional moment that had been kept under wraps until now.
The supportive sister didn’t waste a moment and took matters into her own hands, she went straight to the movie producer, Venkat Boyanapalli, and pleaded for her sister to get a break. “She’s crying, can you please give her just one day off?” she asked. The producer immediately came to the rescue, saying, “Take ten days off. Do what you need to do, and come back when you’re ready.” What a savior!
Shyam Singha Roy, starring Nani and directed by Rahul Sankrityan, was a massive hit at the box office, and Sai Pallavi’s role was a standout. Currently, the actress is filming Tandell with Naga Chaitanya and also gearing up for her role as Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana.
