Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has been repeatedly cautioning his party MLAs and Ministers not to involve their family members in official programmes and allow their family members to misuse their rapport with officials. But, at several places family members create havoc causing embarrassment to ministers and MLAs.
An ordinary housewife celebrating her birthday in the presence of CIs and SIs created a ruckus. Prattipati Venkayamma, the wife of senior TDP leader and former minister Pattipati Pullarao of combined Guntur district celebrated her birthday in the presence of the police on Tuesday.
YCP asked what is the point of the police celebrating the birthday of a woman who has no official status. A few days ago, the Chief Minister expressed his anger over the misbehavior of Transport Minister Ramprasad Reddy’s wife with the police. He ordered that no member of the family members of the people’s representatives can interfere in the governance affairs.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also made similar suggestions in the case of Jana Sena MLA Arani Srinivasulu in Chittoor district. In the reviews, Arani’s relatives expressed their anger against officials.
Chilakaluripet MLA Pattipati Pullarao’s wife Venkata Kumari alias Venkayamma was celebrated by the police on the occasion of her birthday. She cut the case while two Cis, five Sis and Excise Cis applauded. Chilakaluripet Urban and Rural Police officers wished her on her birthday as it was her birthday.
They brought the cake and cut it with her… they clapped. During Pattipati’s tenure as minister between 2014-19, his wife has reportedly wielded more power than him and was in the news for many controversies.
Meanwhile, a farmer complained to the police that Ramachandra Rao, the husband of Guntur West MLA Galla Madhavi, is threatening him to register four acres of land for an amount of Rs.30 lakhs only. Kamma Venkat Rao of Peesapadu, Krosuru mandal alleged that he was being attacked with false cases.
On Tuesday, the victims approached the Guntur court demanding protection from MLA’s husband Ramachandra Rao. Venkat Rao has an 8 acre farm near Piduguralla. Last year, Galla Ramachandra Rao entered into an agreement to buy a 4.90 acre farm.
An agreement was signed on April 4, 2023 to sell an acre at Rs.48 lakh. The victim said that Ramachandra Rao gave 3 checks of Rs 18 lakh and cash of Rs 5 lakh, out of which only one check paid and the other two bounced, totaling only Rs 23 lakh.
