Wednesday, June 26, 2024

How the YCP regime resorts to natural destruction at Rushikonda hills by building a Raj Mahal like luxurious building complex for the sake of the then Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s residence and also his Secretariat functioning, at a cost of Rs 500 crore, was finally exposed on Sunday.

Ladders like Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan and various activists, who tried to examine what was going on there, were arrested earlier. Even the media was not allowed. By demolishing the Tourist resort, a mammoth building complex was constructed at a very secret location. In the process higher courts and environmental regulation bodies were misguided.

However, at the initiative of TDP MLA and former minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, leaders of alliance parties and media were allowed into it on Sunday to see for themselves what was done there.

Jaganmohan Reddy built the most luxurious housing complex in three blocks of these structures, which were built in 7 blocks, while the remaining 4 blocks, one for the office of the CMO, one for the chambers of the senior officers, and the remaining two blocks for other officers.

These structures are equipped with full central AC, ultra luxurious complete with granite finishing, state of the art electric technology, huge screens, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Besides, the locking system with sensors for the doors in the bathroom surprised everyone. Also, the bathtub valued at Rs. 26 lakh has become a sensation across the state.

The TDP leaders are alleging that Jagan intended to present this luxurious beach side palace to his wife after returning to power, as a gift and he squandered the government money like this. The entire construction activity was carried out very secretly by Tourism Minister RK Roja.

It contained a luxurious conference hall with 200 chairs resembling a mini theater in the 2nd block for the CM’s office. A huge chamber was also set up for Jagan Mohan Reddy. In addition to these, the senior officers have arranged around 20 rooms with state-of-the-art technical facilities in each floor for the advisors.

No matter how much the experts, environmentalists, opposition parties and civil society groups agitated protesting against the demolition of nature’s beauty on the hill, it was illegally and mercilessly carried out against the rules. They dug the hill day and night with heavy machinery. An expert committee conducted a survey on Rushikonda and concluded that many violations had been committed, but there was no retreat.
