It seems like the suspense on who is going to become the first Chief Minister from the Congress party to lead Telangana in the next five years will end tomorrow as TPCC Chief and Kondangal MLA Revanth Reddy is set to take oath as per the orders of the party high command. Though several seniors were in the race to claim the coveted CM post, Revanth Reddy made the cut as expected by everyone.
Reliable Intelligence reports suggest that Congress president Sonia Gandhi and other leaders have unanimously chosen Revanth Reddy because of his calibre and capability which led the party to a decisive victory in the state this time after facing embarrassing defeat in the last two assembly elections. Revanth Reddy won with a majority of 32,000 votes in Kondangal and lost in Kamareddy constituency.
As per the latest news, Revanth Reddy will be sworn in as Chief Minister while seasoned politician and another CM designate Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka will be nominated as Deputy Chief Minister. The ceremony will take place at Raj Bhavan and Rahul Gandhi is expected to grace the event.
The Congress Legislature Party meeting will take place at Ella Hotel in Hyderabad and Revanth will be elected as CLP leader by all the MLAs.
A massive public event will be held on December 9th in Hyderabad and many dignitaries from the political spectrum are likely to be invited for it. The cabinet ministers will take oath during this event.
