Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is said to be very serious over allegations made by BRS Working President and former Minister KT Rama Rao that the Congress may have blown up Medigadda with bombs and is reportedly considering to seek a CBI probe into it.
Justice PC Ghosh Committee, which is investigating the irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project, has already served notices to former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to appear for questioning on the 5th of next month.
However, the Congress government is taking advice from legal experts on the issue to be given to the CBI while the Ghosh Commission is conducting its inquiry. An FIR was registered on the Medigadda collapse by Mahadevapura police.
It may be recalled that KTR commented that the Congress may have been the reason for the cracks in the crucial Medigadda barrage in the Kaleshwaram project and that there is a suspicion that they planted the bombs. He alleged that if there are cracks in just two places in the barrage, something is being done.
In a media interaction held at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday, KTR mentioned several issues. “CM Revanth Reddy’s real agenda is to demolish the barrages in the Kaleshwaram project with a vengeance, so that to call tenders again and take 20 percent to 30 percent commissions. Public administration has become a rule of commissions”, he alleged.
“Since the issue of commissions of Congress ministers has gone public, they are making fun of it in the name of notices to divert their attention..” ha added. He commented that Revanth Reddy has nothing to do with the bribery cases and that all the cases he has filed so far have been cleared.
He wondered why the government extended the Commission’s period afterJustice Ghosh said that the investigation has been completed and the report has been prepared? He alleged that the commission’s notices to KCR and Harish Rao were just for time pass.
KTR criticized the BJP and Congress for jointly spreading misinformation about Kaleshwaram and engaging in dirty politics. He said that the misinformation spread about the Palamuru- Ranga Reddy project has been proven by the Supreme Court and the truth about Kaleshwaram will also be revealed consistently.
