Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and his ministerial colleagues participated in `Chalo Raj Bhavan’ call given by the Telangana Congress Committee protesting against the Centre’s stance on Adani’s financial irregularities and the Manipur riots.
Under the leadership of PCC President Mahesh Goud, MLAs, MLCs and Congress leaders took out a rally from the Indira Gandhi statue on Necklace Road to Raj Bhavan. They protested against the central government’s stance and raised slogans against Prime Minister Modi and went to Raj Bhavan.
Later, CM Revanth Reddy, ministers and Congress leaders staged a protest on the road near Raj Bhavan. Speaking later, CM Revanth Reddy alleged that the Adani-Modi relationship would damage the country’s reputation. He was furious that a situation had been created where bribes had to be paid to do business in the country.
He demanded the formation of a JPC on Adani’s irregularities. He criticized Prime Minister Modi for not even being prepared to speak on the Adani issue. He said that the Congress party has protected the country’s reputation for 75 years. He accused Adani and the Prime Minister of bringing dishonor to the country.
Revanth Reddy said that India’s reputation has been put at risk before the world. He alleged that Adani’s companies offered bribes in America and that the government there took action after the FBI gave a report to take legal action against Adani. He demanded an investigation into Adani, who brought dishonor to the country.
Revanth alleged that if a JPC is held, Adani will have to go to jail and that Prime Minister Modi is trying to protect him. He said that if a JPC is not held on this issue, he will stage a dharna at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
“BRS leaders are hypocrites, they don’t do it, if we do it, we will be wrong. If we protest, they are mocking us. BRS has surrendered to Adani and Modi. BRS has no moral right. Congress leaders who participated in the protest program are taking this program as a responsibility for the future of the country and the welfare of the people”, he asserted.
The Chief Minister lamented that the BRS had surrendered to the BJP to avoid arrests. Revanth Reddy accused Modi- KCR as not being different, both are puppets for money. If BRS has sincerity, he demanded that they demand a JPC on Adani corruption. If BRS requests this issue and allows a discussion in the Assembly. He said that a unanimous resolution should be passed in the Assembly for a JPC on Adani corruption.
