After settling a row over loan waiver and HYDRA havoc, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is now said to be focusing on expansion of his cabinet, which has been delayed due to various reasons soon after Lok Sabha elections. Though he went to the party high-command with a probable list of new ministers for their approval, due to one or other reason, he was unable to get their nod.
As along with new PCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, he is attending Congress Working Committee meeting, scheduled to be held on 17th of this month, Revanth Reddy said to be keen to get approval from the party high-command during this period for expansion of his cabinet.
Even the AICC is also said to be aiming to complete the cabinet expansion process by the end of this month. Even though the high command has already discussed this issue many times, there is a delay due to the lack of consensus. It seems that the state leadership of the party, CM Revanth Reddy wants to replace four minister posts in the cabinet.
At present there are 11 ministers in the Cabinet along with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Now it is reported that four new people will get a chance. According to party sources, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy and IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu will also have to go to Delhi on the evening of 17th of this month and on the morning of 18th of this month.
Party sources are of the opinion that the state government and AICC will have to compromise somewhere in the matter of social equality. CWC members Medical and Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha and former MLA Vamsi Chand Reddy will also attend the meeting.
Party sources revealed that the meeting will mainly focus on the defeat of the party in the recent Haryana elections and discuss the shortcomings. Similarly, the CWC will also discuss the strategy to be followed in the upcoming Maharashtra and Jharkhand elections.
