Retired CBI JD Lakshmi Narayana sending positive signals To Return Jana Sena

Monday, December 8, 2025

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who is focusing on strengthening the Jana Sena, seems to be planning to invite the leaders who left the party in the past to come back. As part of that, it is known that the party is now focusing on former CBI Joint DIrector Lakshminarayana. After contesting from Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha as a Jana Sena candidate in 2019, he has been staying away from the party.

Pawan Kalyan is said to be thinking of inviting him back into the party and giving him key responsibilities. It is known that Pawan, who has sought field reports on the performance of MLAs, is unhappy with the allegations being made against several MLAs. He has decided to devote full time to the party along with administrative matters. Work is underway on the party membership.

The party PAC meeting is expected to be held next month. As CBI JD Lakshmi Narayana played a key role in framing corruption charges against former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and also arrested him. He contested the 2019 elections as the Visakhapatnam MP from Jana Sena, but lost in that election. After that, he left Jana Sena for some time and did not succeed even after forming a new party before the 2024 elections.

Now, in a TV debate indicating his intention to return Jana Sena,  has praised Pawan Kalyan for the decisions he is taking politically and administratively. He praised the way Pawan grew politically and won the 2024 elections and said that he is still in touch with Jana Sena leaders. Many believe that he is indirectly willing to rejoin Jana Sena by stating that Jana Sena women and Jana Sainiks supported him when he contested in Visakhapatnam and that he will never forget them.

Lakshminarayana said that people in the state are looking at Pawan with interest. In the absence of an opposition and Jagan is not attending assembly sessions, he felt that someone should stand on the side of the people.  With this, he suggested that Pawan should play that role. He mentioned the news that Pawan had objected to the second phase of land acquisition in Amaravati.

JD specially appreciated the decisions Pawan is taking for the tribals and rural people and the way he is interacting with those who have come with problems. However, although he has not directly clarified his political journey, there are analyses that have indirectly indicated that decisions in politics will be made according to the circumstances.
