After scoring a humongous blockbuster with SS Rajamouli’s RRR, Ram Charan is looking forward to consolidating his pan-India popularity by doing universal subjects that cut across all sections of audiences. He teamed up with hitmaker Shankar Shanmugam for an intense social drama that is yet to have a title. Reportedly, Charan is playing dual roles in this message-oriented action drama which is coming from the stables of ace Tollywood producer Dil Raju.
This highly anticipated film kickstarted the shooting formalities even before the release of RRR. However, there is still a considerable portion of the shoot left to be completed. Due to various reasons, the progress of this film got impacted several times. Initially, the shooting got halted due to covid pandemic. Later, Charan took a break to promote RRR aggressively all over the country. Then, Shankar resumed shooting for his long-delayed project Indian 2 with Kamal Haasan. Now, Kiara Advani is likely to take a break for her wedding formalities.
Sources revealed that this film is likely to miss the 2023 release plans as Shankar needs adequate time for post-production activities and promotions. In all probability, the film is likely to hit the screens in the first half of 2024. Charan is likely to commence another film later this year. He will simultaneously oversee both of these two films.
