Superstar Rajinikanth is all set for his next film and collaborates with the Tamil filmmaker Gnanvel for Thalaivar170. Telugu production house Lyca Productions is the finance for this big budgeted project.
Announcing the same, Lyca Productions took to their social media handles and wrote- ‘We are feeling honoured to announce our next association with “Superstar” @rajinikanth for #Thalaivar170. Directed by critically acclaimed @tjgnan. Music by the sensational “Rockstar” @anirudhofficial.’
Thalaivar170 which is the 170th film of Rajinikanth is directed by the Jai Bhim filmmaker Gnanvel. Meanwhile, South music composer Anirudh Ravichander is working on the title track and background score of the film. As per the sources, Thalaivar170 is based on a true story and features the south superstar in the lead role as a police officer.
The cast and crew of this highly ambitious venture are yet to be announced by the team.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is working with the ace filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar for the upcoming film Jailer. The action comedy-drama stars Rajinikanth, Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Ramya Krishnan in the lead roles.
Apart from the lead crew, Jailer also roped in star actors like Sunil, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, and Jackie Shroff in vital roles. Malayalam actor Mohanlal will also be seen in a special cameo in this film.
Jailer is scheduled to entertain the audience in 2023.
