The director Gopichand Malineni took to Twitter to reveal that the Superstar Rajinikanth had watched the Veera Simha Reddy and called him to appreciate his work. He added that the Thalaivar was impressed with the storyline and emotions that touched his heart. Gopi declared that he felt so special receiving appraisal from a big star of India and would cherish the day for the rest of his life.
The double-action entertainer released for Sankranthi in competition with the Megastar’s Waltair Veerayya. Despite mixed reviews, the movie managed to collect a share of 70 crores in its full run and crossed the full run records of ‘Akhanda’. Shruthi Haasan romanced Balayya and Malayalam beauty Honey Rose portrayed the mother’s role. SS Thaman gave stunning background music along with foot-tapping numbers. All in all, the movie gave much-needed joy to the fans of Balayya.
