BJP’s vocal leader, Raja Singh, has again expressed his displeasure with the party leadership, saying that if he is no longer respected, he can resign. He feels marginalized and alleges to have been subjected to constant neglect and humiliation in the party.
His most recent complaint arises from the elevation of the Golkonda district BJP president. Raja Singh had urged in strong terms that the post be awarded to a BC (Backward Classes) or SC (Scheduled Castes) leader. His suggestion was, however, ignored, leaving him disappointed. Hoping to have some say in the choice, he proposed a candidate, but the high command of the party went ahead and chose a different candidate.
Again heightening his annoyance, Raja Singh asked how leadership positions are being awarded to those who are associated with AIMIM (Majlis), complaining about the internal decisions made by the party.
In spite of unflinching support from the central leadership of the BJP, Raja Singh has been on the contrary sides of issues frequently with the state leadership. Whatever the incumbent for the Telangana BJP president’s seat may be, he has been left dissatisfied in the past. He has experienced disagreements with both Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay in the past, albeit they finally settled their differences. The recent drama over district leadership has, once again, revived his ire, though.
