When a pan-India film with craze like never-before and massive expectations hasn’t wrapped up the shooting formalities though the release date is less than four weeks away, it is definitely a concern for everyone including the team, fans and buyers. That is what’s happening with Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2, the most eagerly awaited sequel of Indian cinema after Baahubali 2.
Pushpa: The Rule is slated for release on December 5th which is less than 25 days to go. But, the shooting part is not yet done and the post production is still half way mark. Meanwhile, an extensive promotional campaign is required for a film with such a massive potential all over the country. So, the pressure keeps mounting on both director Sukumar and the production house.
Meanwhile, composer Devi Sri Prasad has been sidelined from rendering the background score in order to meet the deadline as there is not much time left. SS Thaman, Anjaneesh Loknath and Sam CS have been roped in to fill in DSP’s void and complete the works in quick session.
Not just DSP, but the entire team of Pushpa 2 should be blamed for the delay because it has been nearly three years since the release of first part and they are unable to complete the sequel till the last minute. Usually, such big-budget films should be wrapped up well in advance to facilitate a smooth release so that there won’t be any last minute hurdles.
Sukumar and Allu Arjun took inordinate time to plan the shooting schedules in the name of perfection and ultimately delayed the entire production. Even the producers of Pushpa didn’t insist them to make sure that the final copy is readied one month before so that there will adequate time for promotions.
Now, the team is racing against time to meet the deadline. They cannot miss out on the release date which makes it very difficult to find another ideal season for such a huge film. So, the next couple of weeks will be very crucial for Pushpa team. Meanwhile, the buyers are extremely anxious about any potential postponement if there is any last minute change in the plan.
