Prabhas fronted Project K is billed as one of the costliest Indian films ever made in history. Backed by Vyjayanthi Movies Banner, a marquee production house of Tollywood, and helmed by talented filmmaker Nag Ashwin, Project K stars an ensemble cast in the form of Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani in significant roles.
Putting an end to all speculations, the makers of Project K made an official announcement this Saturday morning regarding its release date. They have locked 12th January 2024 as the film’s release date. This is an ideal date as the makers seem to be targeting the festival holidays after the first weekend of the film’s release. Sankranti festival will result in terrific footfalls for big-ticket films irrespective of the talk. So, Project K has a big chance to register sensational numbers at the Tollywood box office.
Though the release date announcement brought huge cheer for Prabhas’ fans, the poster left them heavily disappointed. The glitzy poster didn’t feature anything concrete or drop any hints about the genre of the film. Usually, release dates of much-awaited films are announced with much fanfare and publicity and the posters will generally have the lead actors on them. But, the poster unveiled by the makers of Project K is neither exciting nor intriguing. Moreover, they simply released it without creating any big excitement in audiences.
The announcement poster features a hand with a pointed finger with three armed men aiming it. The backdrop with a rising sun and some unidentified objects don’t even create much enthusiasm for fans as it looks like a fan-made poster.
