Rana Daggubati is not playing any character in Prabhas’ upcoming tentpole film ‘Project K’. But, he is closely associated with the film in another way. Last month, he spoke at a conclave and expressed that Project K has the potential to push the envelope of Indian cinema further. This statement from Rana came as a big surprise because no one knew the reason why Rana suddenly spoke about Project K.
Later, it was revealed that Rana’s Spirit Media, a marketing agency based out in Hyderabad, played an instrumental role in securing a slot at the renowned Comic-con event in San Diego USA for Project K. Reportedly, Rana is overseeing all activities relating to this global event which is expected to put Project K on the international pedestal.
The makers of Project K have been planning a wide international release in different languages across the globe from the very beginning. So, they want to promote the film aggressively through a highly popular event that is well known across the nations. Then they approached Rana Daggubati to know about this event. Through Rana’s support and influence, Project K team managed to coordinate with the event managers of Comic-con and finally secured a golden opportunity to unveil the first glimpse of the film.
Prabhas and Rana share a very good rapport. They together acted in the Baahubali franchise. Rana was one of the reasons why Baahubali got wide recognition in North India. He is the one who introduced Rajamouli to Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar who associated. So, Prabhas fully trusts Rana’s abilities in promoting the film on a global stage. Hence, he gave a significant role to Rana and asked him to oversee the promotions of Project K.
Rana will look after all promotional activities of Project K. He landed in USA along with Prabhas and will stay with the team to promote the film.
The first glimpse of Project K will be out on July 20th. The film stars Prabhas, Amithab Bachchan Disha Patani and Kamal Haasan in significant roles.
