‘Colour Photo’ fame director Sai Razesh and popular publicist turned producer SKN seems to have delivered a hard-hitting and realistic youthful entertainer with ‘Baby’ which stars Anand Devarakonda, Viraj Ashwin, and Vaishnavi Chaitanya.
Ahead of the film’s release this Friday, the makers have screened special premieres in Hyderabad and their gutsy move seems to have paid off big time as the reports are so encouraging. Also, the talk from Overseas premieres is very promising. It looks like Baby is going to emerge as a blockbuster hit at the box office if the target audience lap up the film big time.
Going by Twitter Talk, Baby is a bold and one-of-its-kind triangular love story that is steered by soul-stirring performances from all three lead actors. Vaishnavi Chaitanya’s emotional performance coupled with effective and piercing dialogues is said to be the biggest selling point for this film. Both Anand Devarakonda and Viraj Ashwin also did a commendable job, but it is Vaishnavi who walks away with most of the credit.
The first half of the film proceeds at a leisurely pace and picks up steam towards the interval block which is well-crafted and makes a striking impact on the viewers. Comparatively, the second half of the film is well-handled with solid writing. However, the pacing of the film seems to be an issue because of the heavy runtime. Some trimming of unnecessary scenes could have done wonders for the film. Nevertheless, it offers a crazy watch for the target audience.
Director Sai Razesh handled the screenplay and narration very deftly and made this a new-age romantic entertainer with relatable characters and poignant dialogues. He got ample support from Vijay Bulganin who rendered superlative music and a stupendous background score. All other technical aspects have been adeptly handled to make this a promising fare.
All in all, Baby has all the trappings to attract younger generation audience. With a good word of mouth, the film will emerge as a box office winner for sure.
