Former poll strategist Prashant Kishor is set to announce the formation of a new political party. Two years ago, Kishor embarked on a ‘Jan Suraj’ padayatra in Bihar, which he now plans to transition into a political party.
Kishor announced today that the new party will be officially launched on October 2, Gandhi Jayanti. He also stated that he will contest in the Bihar Assembly elections next year. Further details, including the party leadership and working committee, will be disclosed at a later date.
Prashant Kishor has been instrumental in the electoral successes of several political parties as a strategist. He later entered politics by joining the JD(U) and served as the party’s national vice-president. However, he was expelled from the JD(U) following certain developments. Since then, Kishor has frequently criticized JD(U) leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar whenever the opportunity arises.
