The sci-fi mythological epic Kalki 2898 AD, starring pan-India sensations Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, has rocketed to become the sixth highest-grossing Indian film of all time. This blockbuster now stands tall alongside cinematic giants like Dangal, Baahubali 2, RRR, KGF 2, and Jawan, and is poised to climb even higher to the fifth spot.
In a heartfelt video message, Prabhas thanked his fans for their overwhelming support. “My fans, thank you so much for giving me such a huge hit. Without you, I am zero,” the star humbly acknowledged. He also lauded director Nag Ashwin for his relentless dedication over five years and gave a special shoutout to the film’s bold producer, Ashwini Dutt, who risked significant funds to bring this vision to life.
“We were all worried, and I once told Dutt garu that he was spending a lot of money. He told me not to worry, assuring me we were delivering a big hit and should provide the highest quality film,” Prabhas shared. He expressed his gratitude to producers Swapna and Priyanka and director Nag Ashwin for the chance to collaborate with Indian cinema legends Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Hassan. “We all grew up watching you and learned so much from you. Thanks a lot to Deepika, the most gorgeous lady. We have a much bigger part 2,” teased the Bhairava star.
