Sensational director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who scored back-to-back blockbusters with Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh and Animal, is going to helm pan-India superstar Prabhas’ next film. This crazy project was announced a couple of years ago and the makers have already locked ‘Spirit’ as the title. It is touted to be an intense cop drama with Prabhas playing a police officer for the first time in his career.
Spirit was initially supposed to start rolling in Summer this year. During the promotions of Animal, Sandeep Reddy reaffirmed that the pre-production activities of Spirit would commence very soon and hinted that the film will hit the screens in 2025.
But it looks like the start of Spirit might be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. As Prabhas is currently occupied with Kalki 2898AD and Raja Saab, Sandeep Reddy would need to wait longer to start shooting for Spirit. Moreover, reports suggest that the second part of Salaar is most likely to go on floors in a couple of months.
Immediately after wrapping up Kalki, Prabhas will concentrate on Raja Saab and Salaar 2. He might shoot for both these films till the end of this year. He can allot dates for Spirit from next year. So, in all probability, Spirit will go on floors in the Summer of next year.
Until Prabhas gets free from all his current commitments, Sandeep Reddy will need to wait patiently to start his next project.
