According to a combined report by Forbes Magazine and IMDb, Bollywood diva and mom-to-be Deepika Padukone, who is paired opposite Baahubali star Prabhas in the upcoming magnum opus Kalki 2898AD, is the highest paid Indian actress for the year 2024. She is reportedly taking home a fat paycheck ranging from 15 Crores to 30 Crores for each film based on the number of dates alloted for completing them.
The Pathaan heroine has outshined her colleagues in Bollywood like Alia Bhatt, Kangana Ranaut, Aishwarya Rai, Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif to name a few in the list. She is followed by actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut. The Emergency actress charges Rs 15 crores to Rs 27 crores per movie. Priyanka Chopra is third on the list as she commands Rs 15 crores to Rs 25 crores per movie as remuneration.
Katrina Kaif took the fourth spot with her salary per film ranging from Rs 15 crores to Rs 25 crores. Alia Bhatt is on the fifth spot with an alleged asking amount of Rs 10 to 20 crores a film.Others on the list include Kareena Kapoor Khan who is charging Rs 8 crores to Rs 18 crores per movie. Saaho fame Shraddha Kapoor charges Rs 7 crores to Rs 15 crores per film and Vidya Balan is said to be paid Rs 8 crores to Rs 14 crores per film.
The Top 10 highest-paid actress of 2024 list comes to an end with Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi star reportedly charges Rs 8 crores to Rs 12 crores a film while the Ponniyin Selvan star asks for Rs 10 crores per film, as per the report.
Deepika will be seen in Kalki 2898 alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. The film is slated for release on June 27th worldwide. She also has a Hollywood film in the making, along with Singham 3 and a few other films in the pipeline.
Surprisingly, the list doesn’t feature a single South Indian actress even though heroines like Rashmika Mandanna and Samantha have achieved pan-India craze.
