Helmed by Maverick director Nag Ashwin, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ features Prabhas as the main lead in the much-anticipated mythological sci-fi epic. Prabhas delighted cricket and cinema fans alike during an ongoing IPL match on Tuesday night.
The actor made a surprise appearance as ‘Bhairava’ from his upcoming film, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, for an IPL promotional video aired during the match between the Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians (LSG vs. MI). In the promotional video, Prabhas features his new look as ‘Bhairava’ and says, “Cricket bhi ek yudh hai. Saansein thaam lo. Ye IPL ka maha match hein. Kal ke liye aaj khelo (Cricket is also like a war. Hold your breath. This is a great match for the IPL. Play today, for tomorrow.)”
Speaking about the film, the makers earlier released a new poster featuring Amitabh Bachchan, followed by the grand unveiling of Big B’s special introduction glimpse of his portrayal as ‘Ashwatthama’ during the live broadcast of the IPL match between KKR and RCB.
Adding to the anticipation, the film boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Pathani, and many others.
