Police Clueless On Jagan’s Stone Injury, Announce Cash Reward

Tuesday, April 30, 2024

Even after two days of stone-pelting on Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, the police remained clueless about the attack. Though police officers indicated on Sunday that they catched some suspects and were likely to reveal what really happened, later it turned out to be a futile exercise.

Though police claimed that several teams were swung into action to find out real culprits and also seized all possible CC evidence, till now unable to find out any clue. It became a challenge for the police as the incident happened to a chief minister, who is under abnormal security cover.

Whereas, those pelted stones on TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on the next day were caught within hours. The police failed to identify how the stone was pushed towards the chief minister. But, though six special teams were formed to probe into attack on CM Jagan, nothing substantial has been established so far.

As a last effort, the Vijayawada police on Monday issued a press release announcing a cash reward Rs 2 lakh for those who provide any evidence related to the attack on CM Jagan.

The police asked them to provide any information about the attack on the Chief Minister. It said they can provide accurate information and scenes (cell phone, video recordings) that will help in nabbing the accused of the attack.

It has been announced that any eyewitnesses can come forward directly and provide information. The details of the informants are assured to be kept confidential. DCP Kanchi Srinivasa Rao has advised those who want to know the exact information about the attack to provide the information to the task force staff.

He said that they can come and inform directly either through phone or WhatsApp. If anyone has information, NTR Police Commissionerate DCP Kanchi Srinivasa Rao 9490619342, Task Force ADCP Srihari Babula – 9440627089 are advised to give the information. He said that the information can be given at the office of the task force located on Netaji Bridge Road on the Animal Hospital Road.
