PM Narendra Modi Files Nomination From Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially entered the race for the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat on Tuesday, seeking a third consecutive victory. Accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and spiritual leader Ganeshwar Dutt Shastri, PM Modi submitted his nomination at the district magistrate’s office in Varanasi.

Amid chants of “Jai Shri Ram” and “Har Har Mahadev,” a fervent crowd gathered as DM S Rajalingam received the nomination papers from the Prime Minister, who took an oath during the process.

Kicking off his day in Varanasi, PM Modi commenced with prayers at Dashashwamedh Ghat, a pivotal site in the city, before proceeding to the Kal Bhairav Temple, honoring Lord Shiva in his formidable aspect. His itinerary also includes a visit to the Rudraksha Convention Centre, where he plans to engage with members and officials of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
