Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured that his government at the Center will support the aspirations of the people of Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu gave a clear promise of full support to ‘Vision-2047’. Modi, who came to Visakhapatnam for the first time after becoming the Prime Minister for the third consecutive term, launched development works worth Rs. 2.08 lakh crore on Wednesday evening.
He laid the foundation stone for the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone, a key part of the division promises, as well as the Green Hydrogen Hub and Bulk Drug Park. He dedicated several railway and road projects to the nation. On this occasion, Modi addressed a gathering organized at the Andhra University Engineering College grounds.
“Development of Andhra Pradesh is our vision. Service to the people of Andhra is our resolve. Chandrababu Naidu is working with the vision of making the state a 2 trillion dollar economy by 2047. The NDA government at the center will stand shoulder to shoulder with the state government in this journey,” Modi announced.
The Prime Minister said that the central and state governments are taking steps towards development and giving priority to investments in the state. He said that they are supporting the state in all sectors. He explained that the projects launched in Visakhapatnam will contribute to the development of the state.
PM Modi said that AP will become a major center for IT and technology. He said that if 2 green hydrogen hubs are coming up in the country, one of them has been allocated to Visakhapatnam. He explained that the foundation stone of the bulk drug park has been laid in Nakkapalli and that such parks are coming up in only 3 states.
He clarified that the foundation stone of the South Coast Railway Zone has been laid, and through this, the long-standing desire of the people of the state will be fulfilled. The Prime Minister said that 7 Vande Bharat trains are already running in the state.
“The railway zone is very crucial for the development of Andhra Pradesh. New opportunities will be available in the agriculture, business and tourism sectors. 100% electrification of railway lines has been done in AP. Along with Vande Bharat trains, Amrit Bharat services have become available to the people of the state”, he added.
PM Modi expressed confidence that the face of AP is going to change with the infrastructure revolution and better connectivity. The works started now will contribute to the development of the state, he said and added that the ‘Blue Economy’ (marine trade) will be used in mission mode. He said that he is working with commitment to increase the income of fishermen in AP.
He said that Kisan credit cards have been provided to fishermen and steps have been taken for protection in the sea. He said that the Visakhapatnam Fishing Harbor will be developed. He said that everyone will be included in development. “Development should happen in all sectors. The fruits should reach everyone. The projects started today are going to contribute to the future and prosperity of the people of AP,” he concluded his speech.
