After delivering sensible entertainers, director Srikanth Addala changed his tack with Venky’s Narappa. He is now coming up with another interesting commercial fare titled ‘Peddha Kapu – 1’. The first look teaser is out this Sunday ( July 2nd) and it is quite hard-hitting and brutal from the word go.
Playing out at one minute and forty-seven seconds, the teaser packs a punch as it gives a sneak peek into the intriguing premise revolving around village politics headed by two heavyweights. There is plenty of bloodshed, powerful dialogues, gripping emotions, and intense drama in the teaser which sets up high very expectations for the film.
Srikanth Addala appears to be very determined to make a solid comeback with this film. He gets full credit for coming up with such a pulse-pounding actioner laced with terrific drama.
Virat Karna makes a notable impact as the lead protagonist. He seems to have surpassed all expectations as a debutant and delivered a knockout punch in his role. He shines in action episodes with his stupendous body language. Actors like Tanikella Bharani, Ramesh, Anasuya, Rajeev Kanakala, and others have got meaty roles in the narrative.
The teaser opens with a scene in a forest with a bunch of youngsters carrying a heavy log into the village. This scene has a voiceover of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, actor-turned- Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. Then, we are taken into the village where the entire drama unfolds and all the significant characters in the story and introduced one after another amid pulsating visuals. It is about the rise of a commoner despite facing two powerful factions.
The spectacular background score rendered by Mickey J Meyer makes the teaser more impactful and invigorating. The visuals captured by Chota K Naidu are outstanding and the production values are quite solid as producer Miryala Ravinder Reddy didn’t compromise in any aspect of filmmaking.
Peddha Kapu – 1 is slated for release on August 1st.
