Chennai: Veteran Kollywood actor and martial arts trainer Shihan Hussaini passed away on Tuesday morning at the age of 60. He had been undergoing treatment for blood cancer at a hospital in Chennai. His family confirmed the news on social media.
Hussaini was known for training Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan in martial arts, karate, and kickboxing.
Debuting in Tamil cinema with the 1986 film Punnagai Mannan, Hussaini appeared in several films, gaining wider recognition with Badri, starring Vijay. He was also an accomplished archery coach, having trained over 400 students in the sport.
Several film personalities have expressed condolences on his passing.
