Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said that Rs. 350 crore will be allocated every year for the construction of roads and other infrastructure in the tribal areas of the state. He revealed that roads are being constructed in tribal areas with funds of Rs. 105 crore from the AP Panchayat Raj Department in Alluri district.
He said that the NDA government is working to alleviate the hardships of the tribal areas. If Pawan Kalyan becomes a partner in the government, it means that every tribal youth has become a part of it, he added.
Pawan assured that the AP government is committed to the development of agency areas. He visited Ballagaruvu and Gummanthi villages of Anantagiri mandal of Alluri Seetharamaraju district on Saturday. He went to the hill on foot to meet the tribals on Ballagaruvu hill. Tribal women gave a grand welcome to the Deputy Chief Minister with traditional dances.
Later, the Deputy CM joined them in performing the traditional Thinsa dance. He also played the traditional drum. “I visited the forest area to understand the suffering and pain of the people in the tribal areas. Our government does not work for elections or votes. I am definitely saying that we are here to wipe away the hardships and tears of the people”, he said.
“We are working towards a Doli-free Andhra Pradesh. We are working to resolve all the problems of the tribals. Today, we have started 19 types of development works in Ballagaruvu and Gummanthi villages. Change is possible only if the tribal youth are willing to do so. The government has changed, and conditions have been created for the panchayat sarpanches to move around with their heads held high”, he added.
Pawan Kalyan said that they are working in a planned manner with the aim of developing the tribal areas and creating infrastructure. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s great ambition is to build roads for every tribal village with a population of 100 people and the Center will provide Rs. 250 crore for the construction of roads in January, he said.
