Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has revealed that works worth Rs 100 crore have been undertaken in the last nine months in Pithapuram, where he won with a huge majority of 51,000 in the elections last year. Pawan Kalyan, keeping his promise to build a 100-bed hospital in Pithapuram during the election campaign, laid the foundation stone for a 100-bed hospital in Pithapuram on Friday.
The hospital, which currently has 30 beds, will be upgraded. Pithapuram TDP in-charge SVSN Verma also attended the foundation stone laying ceremony. Pawan Kalyan made it clear that his government is working sincerely to fulfill every promise made to the people during the elections.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Pithapuram constituency will be led on the path of development. He said that increasing the 30-bed hospital to 100 beds is a part of this development journey. This hospital will be built in Pithapuram at an estimated cost of Rs 34 crore.
Officials said that two new blocks, an OP ward, a mortuary ward, dialysis, a blood bank and advanced machines will be available in this hospital. It is reported that the construction of the hospital will provide better medical services to 3 lakh people in the Pithapuram constituency and the people of six surrounding mandals.
Pawan Kalyan expressed hope that the level of the hospital is being raised with the aim of providing better medical services in Pithapuram, which will benefit the local people a lot. He explained that new dermatology, ophthalmology, radiology, pathology and ENT departments will be set up.
Also, during today’s visit, Pawan laid the foundation stone for the U.Kothapalli TTD Kalyana Mandapam and the Chebrolu Sri Seetharama Swamy Temple Rathsala and Mandapam. A sewing training center was opened and sewing machines were provided to women in the constituency. Agricultural machinery was also handed over to the farmers. Several local public representatives and officials participated in this foundation stone laying ceremony.
